Job Profile of Branch Post Master (BPM)

A branch postmaster is the head of the branch and is responsible for the whole gram panchayat postal work. BPM has to make sure that each employee in his office works properly and completes their responsibilities. A BPM has to make sure that each mail has been delivered to the destination address. Job Profile of Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM)

An assistant branch postmaster works as an assistant to the BPM and helps him in the smooth functioning of the office work. The ABPM has to take care of the stamps/sale/stationery/conveyance and delivery of the mail. An ABPM has to be involved in all the important work of the office like selling stamps and stationery, delivery of mail, payments, and deposits under India Post Payment Banks. ABPM is also responsible for the marketing of the India Post and supervising other activities of the other employees. ABPM has to complete any task assigned by the Branch Post Master.

Job Profile of Gramin Dal Sevak

Gramin Dak Sevak has to assist the BPM and ABPM in the office work. Dak Sevak is responsible for the railway Mail Service (RMS), supervising the opening and closing of the mail bags and also transporting the bags from one place to another. Dak Sevak has to supervise the sale of stationary and stamps. A Dak Sevak has to complete the task or any other duty given by BPM and ABPM.

Gramin Dak Sevak Salary is also called Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA), as the candidates get paid on the basis of their working hours. The packer works as an assistant to the mail deliverer and mail carrier and packs the mail bags and couriers. Gramin Dak Sevak Salary- Incentives, Allowances, and Perks

Apart from the salary, the following benefits are awarded to the employees working as the Gramin dak Sevak post.

  • A maximum amount of Rs. 6000/- per year for children’s education.
  • The employees can take the stationery charges of Rs. 25/- on the monthly basis.
  • Rs. 500/- Office rent for Branch Post Master for standard office and Rs. 200/- for non-standard office
  • One can take Voluntary Retirement (VRS) after a minimum of 10 years of service.
  • Cycle Maintenance Allowance of Rs. 60/- per month.
  • Male candidates can request for 1 transfer during their service and female candidates can apply for 2 times
  • An Office Maintenance Allowance of Rs. 100/- per month for the Branch Postmaster or sub-postmaster.
  • The boatman gets a maximum of Rs. 50/- per month as a boat allowance.
  • Combined Duty Allowance of Rs. 500/- per month for branch postmasters for performing the delivery. However, in the village area CDA of Rs. 250/- will be given.
