JEE Advanced Eligibility 2022
The candidate must fulfil the following JEE Advanced 2022 eligibility mentioned in this paragraph. In case, it is found later that you are ineligible to sit in the exam then the authority can cancel your admission.
Educational Requirements
- The candidates must have passed the JEE Mains paper for the B.E./B.Tech.
- Students who have passed their Intermediate exam in 2021 or 2022 in the first attempt can apply. He/ She must have opted for the Science Stream (Maths, Physics, and Chemistry).
- For the students who attended the 12th exam in 2020 or 2021. Moreover, he/ she applied for the JEE 2021 Advanced Exam but did not attend any of the papers. These students are eligible to apply.
- Additionally, the candidates who appeared in the 12th exam in 2020 are eligible for the JEE 2022 Advanced exam. Only if you fulfil the following categories:
- Either you have appeared for JEE Advanced in 2020/ 2021 OR You have not appeared for the exam at all.
- The candidate must have attended the JEE Mains 2022 exam. Moreover, passed the exam according to the cutoff marks.
Age Criteria
The maximum age of the candidate should be 25 years as of 1st October 2022. However, the candidates who belong to the SC/ ST and PwD categories get an age relaxation of five years.
For Applicants Who Were Earlier Admitted To The IITs
- Lastly, the candidates who have been admitted to IIT before or whose admission was cancelled are ineligible to apply.
- However, candidates who got admission to the preparatory courses in the IIT in 2021 can apply. Keep in mind that this should have been the first time you got admitted to the IIT.
- Lastly, the candidates who got a seat in the IIT through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2021 can apply. However, they must come under any of the following categories:
