Tier 1 Exam Pattern

The first stage of the CHSl exam is Tier 1. In Tier 1 the candidates will get a total number of 100 questions and they will be competing against lakhs of other candidates from all across the country. As per the latest SSC CHSL Syllabus 2023 released by the Staff Selection Commission, Tier 1 will have a total number of 100 questions given from 4 subjects. The Subjects for the Tier 1 are General Awareness, General Intelligence and reasoning. Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. The candidates will get a total time of 60 minutes for the Tier 1 exam.

3. General Awareness Syllabus

The questions in the General Awareness section are designed to test the general awareness of the candidates. The questions test the awareness of the candidates towards the environment around them. The questions also test the candidate’s knowledge of current events and their observation as well as their experience in their scientific aspects. The General Awareness section also includes questions related to India as well as its neighbouring countries. Mainly the questions are related to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy and scientific research.

Staff Selection Commission CHSL 2023 Skill Test

The candidates have to give a test for certain jobs which require data posting. To pass the test the candidates must have a data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour. In this test the candidates will be given an English Document with 2000-2200 key depressions and the candidates are required to type it under a given time period. The time period given to the candidates is usually 15 minutes. This skill test is only conducted for some posts like data operators whereas the writing tests are conducted for posts like LDC and JSA
